The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has revealed that the establishment of the State Police in Nigeria will reduce crimes.
The revelation was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga shortly after the courtesy visit paid by the members of Trustees of Ibadan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture at Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan on Tuesday.
“Where criminal acts thrive, no meaningful development can be achieved especially this period when our country is faced with several security challenges”, the paramount ruler observed.
“It is when there is security of life and property that Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture can flourish”, the monarch further stressed.
Olubadan palace had set up Economic and Investment Committee to reduce the challenges presently facing Ibadan Economy and Investment particularly power supply, adding that the committee is to ensure the resuscitation of the moribund industries which will contribute to the growth and employment of the youths.
Earlier in his speech, the 23rd president of Ibadan Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture, Chief Emmanuel Folorunsho Ogunnaike the Board was at palace to pay homage, seek mentorship and development of economy and trade especially in agriculture, engineering and commerce among others.
The president urged the Governments to revitalize moribund industries and give necessary support to reduce the challenges facing Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in Oyo state.
Chief Folorunsho Ogunnaike called the sons and daughters of Ibadan through Olubadan to come home to establish economic ventures and contribute their quotas to the growth and development of Ibadanland.
In related a related development, the management staff of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso led by its Vice Chancellor Prof Razaq Olatunde Romkalilu and also members of Dry port committee located at Erunmu paid courtesy visits to Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Present at the event were Oba ( Dr ) Kolawole Adegbola the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland,Oba Abiodun Kola Daisi, the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Arch Bamidele Olusegun,Chief Abiola Alli among others.
