The National Association of Saki Elite (NASE) has congratulated the sons and daughters of the ancient town of Saki over the emergence of the Okere of Saki-designate, Prince Khalid Oyeniyin Olabisi.
NASE in a statement issued by its National President, Wole Oladokun and the National Public Relations Officer, Abdulrosheed Okiki particularly commended the Kingmakers led by the Baagii, High Chief AbdulRasheed Adegoke for the unanimous decision on the choice of Prince Khalid Olabisi.
The Association said the unanimous decision taken by the 11 wise men is a pointer to the unity, cooperation, tolerance and understanding needed for the development of Saki.
“The wait is over. Our community has for long yearned for this day and we are glad that the patient has paid off with the decision of our Kingmakers,” the statement reads.
The statement urged other candidates in the coveted stool of the Okere of Saki to support the choice of Prince Khalid Olabisi and collaborate with him as the process of ascending the throne of his forefathers begins.
The NASE urged residents of Saki town to rally round the Okere-designate and offer good suggestions capable of fast tracking the development of the ancient town.
“We are partners in the development of our town and you can count on our support and prayers for a peaceful reign characterise with growth, progress and massive infrastructural development,” NASE assured.
The statement also thanked the authorities of Saki West Local Government, State Government, members of the Ado royal family and the entire traditional institution for the new breath and hoped for quick installation and coronation of the Okere-designate to further take Saki to greater heights.
The Kingmakers in Saki on Wednesday unanimously agreed on the choice of the University of Lagos trained Surveyor as the next Okere of Saki and the decision is expected be communicated to the Government.
