The Central Planning Committee (CPC) of the “Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival” has rallied support from stakeholders and traditional rulers in the Ogbomoso zone for the success of the forthcoming program.
The Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival (OCC) is an initiative of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye (Orumogege III), aimed at enhancing the economic development of the historic city through the promotion of cultural heritage and tourism.
The committee, headed by Prince Williams Adeleye, a communication strategist and former Special Adviser on Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, was inaugurated on April 27, 2024.
Their mandate is to establish a cultural event that will attract the world to Ogbomosoland.

He said, “Since the inauguration in April, we have been working day and night towards a successful event, and from all indications, we are optimistic of maximum cooperation and support.”

“This cultural festival is a welcome development, and I can assure you that we will cooperate with you to ensure a successful event.
“Jabata town is a historical and ancient town that has produced two Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland (Generalissimo), and we have a lot to showcase. We will be actively involved,” the monarch explained.
