Odu’a Investment Company Limited in collaboration with African Wealth Partners on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 organized a one-day Agric Strategy Workshop for the Odu’a Directors and the Leadership Team.
Managing Directors of Wemabod Estates Limited and Glanvills Enthoven & Pensions Consultants were also in attendance. The workshop which took place at Osun Hall of the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, was aimed at assessing the current situation of Odu’a agriculture business, the key needs and priorities and defining new strategies for the agric business which will drive search for partners and possible financing solutions.
The Group Managing Director of Odu’a, Mr. Adewale Raji while declaring the Summit open emphasized that Odu’a was thirsty for growth. He also said there was need to unlock value and leverage the company assets for socio-economic footprints and impact.
He said the desire growth could be realized through the engagement of partners in the value-chain end and by entering into Joint Venture or equity participation in new businesses.
Mr. Raji spoke on living the mandate through improved and consistent financial performance, regular shareholder engagement and payment of dividends, aggressive pursuit of big ticket transactions for growth and development.
Other speakers spoke around the need to identify and enter into partnership with credible investors who have the technical competence and financial capabilities in a joint venture using Odu’a farmland as part of equity contribution.
Resource Personnels from Africa Wealth Partners included, Martin Emoch, Marid Marconi, Michael Moghedde and Mrs. Ayotola Ayodeji.
The Group promised to work with Odu’a management in providing sustainable solution in area of technical expertise required and getting the right partners to grow the Agri-business ventures for Odu’a.
