The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has expressed confidence in its elected members in the ninth National Assembly.
The party’s position was contained in a statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, and made available to newsmen on Monday in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the APC in the state won two out of the three senatorial seats and nine out of the 14 House of Representatives seats in the last general election.
NAN also reports that the federal lawmakers would be inaugurated on Tuesday.
The party assured the lawmakers of total support and encouragement, imploring them to shun actions and inaction capable of bringing either the state or party into disrepute.
It added: “All we want from them is patriotism, robust contributions, sponsorship of bills/motions aimed at benefiting Nigeria, loyalty to the APC and responsiveness to the yearnings of their constituents.
“Once again, we have no doubt in their individual ability to perform creditably and we pray God to grant them huge success in the task before them.”
