A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan has congratulated the indigenes and residents of Oyo State for coming into the new year hale and hearty, despite the challenges of 2017.
This was contained in a new year message released by his media office over the weekend.
He remarked that “the new year means new possibilities, new hopes and new dreams, urging residents of the state to celebrate 2018 with renewed enthusiasm for the future to come.
He prayed that 2018 will be a destiny fulfilling year for Oyo state.
Olaniyan who is a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and former General Manager of the Oyo state Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) and a retired permanent secretary in the Oyo state civil service also noted that 2018 offers a time to reflect on the year gone by and the beautiful moments shared with our families and friends, Express our gratitude to God, our loved ones and to let them know how they’ve been an important part of our life.
The Igboho-born politician and frontrunner in the coming guber elections, also spared a thought for the people who have supported him through difficult times, urging them not to relent in their pursuit for excellence and a better Oyo state.
He admonished residents of Oyo state not to allow the difficulties of 2017 dampen their moral, but rather look up to God in the new year and continue to pray for the leadership of the state and country.
Olaniyan who is also the chairman and Chief Executive Officier, Westmidland Construction Company, a world bank accredited outfit, noted that the spirit of New Year isn’t just reminiscing about the past but also looking forward to the times ahead with the promise of love and unconditional support for the development of our state and country.
He advised all to forgive the people who may have hurt them in 2017 and start 2018 on a bright and fresh note as there should be no room for hate in the new year. He also encouraged all to make a new year resolution to love more, and seek ways to improve not only Oyo State , but Nigeria.
He wished His Excellency Senator Isiaka Ajimobi, the executive governor of Oyo state, Chief Akin Oke,chairman of our great party APC in Oyo state, all party excos and the good people of Oyo state a happy and prosperous new year.
