The Bagii Of Saki, High Chief Adegoke Abdur-Rasheed Adekilutoro, has urged the sons and daughters of Saki town in home and diaspora to come together and put Saki first in whatever they are doing.
Bagi, in a new year message made available to insideoyo.com on Wednesday, also wished the new Okere-elect, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi a happy new year and good beginning of a new decade.
He said “This is to wish our new Kabiyesi Alayeluwa Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Ilugbemidepo the Okere Of Saki a happy new year and beginning of a new Decade.
“I also wish every Saki indegine both home and in diaspora a properous new year. I want us to begin this next decade as a people to rededicating ourselves to the values of respect; compassion and hardwork that defines us as ‘Omo Ologun’ Asabari. By coming together and putting Saki first in whatever we do، we will build a brighter tomorrow for our children and the children of our children.”
He stressed the need for Saki indegenes to work with the new Okere-elect for the development of Saki.
His words “Let us look at our future more confidently than ever especially now that a vibrant and cerebral Okere has been enthroned. Let us resolve to work with him together to build that better society.”
The traditional ruler while thanking the governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde also urged him to expediate action in relocating the headquarters of Oyo State Agricultural Development Program back to Saki.
“My new year felicitations also goes to our Amiable and peoples Governor. His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. I sincerely appeal to His Exellency to expadite action in relocating OYSADEP back to its birth and natural headquarters Saki.
“Saki people will for ever be greatful to His Excellency if the Saki dual carriage road is completed in earnest.
“May this New Year bring His Excellency all happiness he deserves. Happy new year 2020” he said.
