The Chairman and CEO of Afia Group Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIArb, MCIOB, МСАВЕ, popularly known as Adanla, and his wife, Alhaja Mohamudat Karheem hosted a grand reception to celebrate their son Moahmud’s first birthday on Sunday, August 3, 2025
The event took place at Adanla’s residence in Alhaji Lateef Oyelade G.R.A, Ibadan, which was transformed into a miniature wonderland, creating unforgettable moments for both children and adults in attendance.
Guests enjoyed a delightful array of sumptuous meals and finger foods. The celebration featured engaging activities, including games, quizzes, and a dance competition, ensuring fun for all.
The party, befitting of royalty, was graced by numerous dignitaries, including Adanla’s father-in-law, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakri Agbotomokekere, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, who led the league of Imams and Alfas to the occasion.
Adanla’s first and second wives, Alhaja Kudirat Adebisi Karheem Adanla and Alhaja Balkiz Anuoluwapo Karheem Adanla, were also present to support the celebrant and his mother, Alhaja Mohamudat Ayoke Karheem Adanla.
The children—Folasade Aminat Karheem Adanla, Idris Oladimeji Karheem Adanla, Abdulwahab Olayiwola Karheem Adanla, and Rashidat Olatanwa Karheem Adanla—also shared in the joy of Moahmud’s special day.
During the celebration, Engr. Karheem, the Turaki Adinni of Oyo State and Mogaji Adanla of the Adanla Compound, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God and all those who came to honor their family. He described the occasion as a testament to God’s faithfulness in their lives.
