Muslim faithfuls have been urged to uphold supplication principles to aid quick response from Allah on certain challenges they may be facing.
An Ibadan-based cleric, Ustaz Luqman Kharashi, stated this at Annual Ramadan Lecture of Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria ( MMPN), Oyo State, held at the Central Mosque, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State ( BCOS), Ibadan.
Ustaz Kharashi, who spoke on the topic “When and How to Supplicate Allah for Quick Response” said it was essential for Muslims seeking answers to prayers to believe in Almighty Allah and make patience their watch word.
He harped on the need for individuals to be thankful to Allah for previous blessings, adding that those who supplicate Allah during comfort, stands the chance of getting quick response from Him at point of needs.
While enumerating ways, manners and time to supplicate Allah for quick response, Ustaz Kharashi, admonished muslim faithfuls to remain focused to God and ensure full concentration during supplication.
He explained that whoever wants his prayer to be accepted by Allah, he or she must fully submit his or herself to Allah and concentrate when praying to Him.
Kharasi said that prayer remained a medium of communication between man and God.
He commended MMPN for organizing the annual lecture, saying that it would go a long way to uplift participants spiritually.
“First, be thankful to Allah and believe that Allah accept prayer. Another thing to note is that we should center our prayers to Allah alone because Allah deals with man according to his or her faith”
“Patience is also key while praying to God , and this should be done with full concentration”
In his remarks, Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Bar Abdul Rahman Abdul Raheem, expressed concern over the rate at which the youths strive for quick success.
The commissioner, who spoke through Alhaji Alabi Tajudeen, enjoined participants not to keep the knowledge gathered at the event within themselves but share with family and neighbours.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria ( MMPN), Oyo State, Alhaji Abdul – Rofih Adebayo, said the topic was carefully chosen considering the length at which people search for quick response to prayers.
He reiterated the commitment of the association in protecting the image of Islam in relation to negative broadcast against the religion in the media as well as supporting Muslims in pen profession.
Also speaking , the National President, MMPN, Alhaji Abdulrahmon Balogun, lauded the leadership of the association in the state for upholding legacies of the association.
He urged them to reach out to every member on similar occasions for massive turnout.
In their separate remarks, Dr Bayo Busari of Lead City University, Ibadan and Alhaja Muibat Mustapha, advised participants to seek knowledge from seasoned scholars in the religion for proper guidance.
