Oyo state Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Sunday, said that he owed his victory at the poll to God and the good people of the state.
Makinde said this at a thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Sword of the Spirit Ministry, the Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan Campus 1, Garden of Victory, Ibadan.
A post on his official twitter account reads “At a Special Thanksgiving Service organised for me and @raufolaniyan by the Sword of the Spirit Ministries.
“We owe our victory to God and the good people of Oyo State.”
InsideOyo.com gathered that Makinde also described his emergence as the state governor-elect as “a miracle”. He said his victory was a manifestation of the peoples trust and love for God.
He also promised to lead a purposeful government in the state, adding that he was indebted to the people of Oyo State because he had found all that he wanted in them by voted him mercifully.
