Some gunmen reportedly trialing the chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, Honourable Lateef Akorede have been arrested by security agencies.
The gunmen who claimed they were on election duty were arrested on Saturday, in Ayete.
They were putting on Hunter Special Squad (HSS) uniform.
Our reporter couldn’t confirm if they were truly on election duty or a member of the Hunter Special Squad (HSS) because they couldn’t provide any accredited tags nor a valid identity card.
While reacting to the development, the Ibarapa North Local Government chairman said he has noticed some people have been trialing his movement since day before yesterday.
He said that it took the intervention of God and security agencies that made the arrest possible.
He alleged that some Chieftains of the main opposition party in the state, APC are the sponsors.
He said with God on his side and the people of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, victory is on his side.
