Oorelope local government legislative arm has reinstated the monthly environmental sanitation programme across the local government, insideoyo.com has gathered.
The house in its sitting on Thursday resolved that the sanitation programme which has been abandoned be reinstated and logistics be released for the implementation.
This among other decisions are contained in a document made available to insideoyo.com after the house sitting which was held at the Legislative chamber of the local government headquarters in Igboho.
The councilors also resolved that the refuse collection truck be repaired immediately so it can ameliorate refuse and waste disposal across the council.
The Leader of the House, Hon. Adegbola Isiaka told our correspondent their decision was geared towards improving the livelihood of the people and also to avoid outspread of disease as we are moving into the raining season.
He also stated that the environmental sanitation programme will now take place last Saturdays of every month and the local government will put in place mechanism to enforce its implementation.
