For his philanthropic gestures to Islam and humanity in general, the League of Imams and Alfas in Ogbomoso Land and Environs will on Sunday 8th of December, 2019 turban the Ogobomoso-born Civil Engineer, Muftau Open Salawu, as the Saraki Adini.
The ceremony which is scheduled to hold at the Old Eid Praying Ground Opposite LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso by 10:00am is part of 30 years anniversary event of the association.
League of Imams and Alfas in Ogbomoso is the umbrella for all Ulamah and Aimah in Ogbomoso Land and its environment
Insideoyo.com recalls that Open Salawu was recently honoured with Waziri Jari Nupe by the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Yahaya Abubakar.
While speaking with insideoyo.com in a telephone conversation, Open Salawu promised not to relent in his efforts to touch the lifes of every sons and daughters of Ogbomoso land meaningfully through his philanthropic gestures.
He said he believes this is one of the ways of contributing one’s effort to the development of the Ogbomoso Land, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
“The title and turbaning ceremony is a call for me to do more of what I have been doing and have been known for. Philanthropy is something I love doing so much. Because I believe with this, I can touch lifes of people who are in need.
“For even distribution of wealth, I urge other well meaning Nigerians to embrace this. It’s the best way of contributing to the development of Ogbomoso, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.” he said.
He also thanked the League of Imams and Alfas for counting him worthy of the title. He prayed God continue to guide the association in their commitment.
