The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan today inaugurated Senator Buhari AbdulFatai and other Senators as members of Constitution Review Committee.
While inaugurating them, Senator Lawan charged them to work hard for the benefit of Nigerian masses.
Senator Buhari AbdulFatai is on the committee as a representative of South West Geo-Political Zone alongside Senator Abiodun Olujimi. The committee also has a representative each from all states of the federation and Oyo state is been represented by Senator Teslim Folarin. Each geo political zone has two representative while each state has one representative.
In his remarks, the chairman of the committee, Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege promised that the committee will work assiduously across the 6 geopolitical zones because constitution reforms has once again become necessary to address insecurity, slow economic growth, poor political culture among others.
Meanwhile, Distinguished Senator Buhari AbdulFatai earlier today described late Senator Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu as a good man who left a good legacy behind.
He made this remarks while contributing during the Senate’s special valedictory sitting for the late Senator who was a member, Senate Committee on Land Transport chaired by Senator Buhari AbdulFatai.
Senator Buhari AbdulFatai told the family members present in the chambers that late Senator Ben was a good Son,Husband and Father.
