Former governor of Oyo state, Rashidi Ladoja, has said that majority of his loyalists do not know that he had left African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Legit NG reports that a chieftain of the party who also defected along with Ladoja to the new party in Kajola local government area of Oyo state, Alhaji Alli Oyedeji, made it known in a telephone conversation on Sunday.
According to him, Ladoja lamented that despite the public declaration he made in Ibadan recently as regards his defection from ADC to ZLP, majority of his loyalists were still claiming that they have no knowledge that he has left the former party for the new one.
While unfolding his plans, the former governor disclosed that it was high time he made his loyalists known that he had left ADC.
He added that he would henceforth appear on live programme in all radio broadcasting stations in Ibadan and Oyo state at large to inform all about his defection and the convinced reasons they should join him in the new party.
The Ibadan high chief also disclosed that he would make sure he champions the ZLP’s meeting of Oke-Ogun federal constituency which comprises Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa and Kajola respectively, adding that holding such meeting would be an avenue to welcome both stale and new members to the party.
Ladoja said the meeting would not be limited to that but to other federal constituencies to intimate people with what went wrong in ADC and why they left for another party.
