The former Governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, on Wednesday, was absent at the inauguration of the new Governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, InsideOyo.com has gathered.
According to The PUNCH, Ladoja was sighted at his Bodija, Ibadan residence but chose to stay away for reasons yet to be ascertained.
His media aide, Alhaji Lanre Latinwo in a telephone chat with PUNCH said, “I didn’t meet him in the house when I got there in the morning and he is yet to return when we arrived from Liberty. Until I see him, I wouldn’t know why he was not there. I believe he went somewhere.”
Ladoja is the leader of the Zenith Labour Party and coordinated other opposition parties to adopt Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party as the candidate.
