The Ibadan South-East Local Government Traditional Council led by Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja on Tuesday have paid a condolence visit on the families of late People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Yekini Adeojo and former governor of Oyo state, Dr Omololu Olunloyo who passed on last week respectively.
Other members of the Council led by Oba Ladoja were Chief Adeniran, the Abese Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Nureni Akanbi, the Laguna Oluyole, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke (FCA), Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Olooye Lekan Alabi, Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland and others.
Late Alhaji Adeojo, who was also the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland died in Lagos last week Friday, while Dr Olunloyo was announced dead in a private hospital on Sunday morning in Ibadan.
Speaking on behalf of the Council, at the residence of the two families, the Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olooye Lekan Alabi described the demise of Alhaji Adeojo and Dr Olunloyo as a great loss to the people of Ibadanland and Nigeria at large.
He noted that the icons played their parts in putting the state capital in the global map in politics and education.
Speaking on behalf of the Adeojo’s family, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo thanked the council for their support to the family.
Meanwhile the sister to the late educator Mrs. Adebisi Apanpa, Nee Olunloyo said the burial plans will be decided by the Oyo State government.
