The people and traders in the Oranyan area of Ibadan NorthEast were full of praise Kolapo Kola-Daisi for the construction of a pedestrian bridge in the community, connecting two wards in the local government to ease both people traffic and the movement of goods and services in the zone.
During this Kola-Daisi’s tour of Ibadan NorthEast that lasted the entire day, other community impact projects facilitated by the Accord senatorial candidate were commissioned, including a transformer at Gbelekale to restore light after 14 months of darkness in the area, a borehole fixed at Ogboriefon, and a string of over 100 solar lights across wards in the local government.
The 20-metre long Oranyan Pedestrian bridge was constructed by the candidate in response to a need raised by the community heads months ago, and connects Wards 2 and 3 in the Ibadan NorthEast, linking the communities together and also to the main market in the zone.
“May God bless Daisi, this is the kind of politicians we want, politicians who see a problem, hear us out and fix those problems immediately” Babaloja of Oranyan market Sanusi Ayobami, hailed.
In her words, the Iyaloja of the market enumerated the impact of the bridge on their sales, thanking Kola-Daisi for coming to their timely aid to boost their businesses in trying economy times.
Her words: “This bridge has increased our patronage by over 100 percent, for years before now, the lack of this connecting bridge between Oranyan and Ogundipe has been a major disadvantage to our sales in Oranyan market. Now, the story has changed for us.
“Kola-Daisi is God-sent. Before now, for us to move from Ile Ajobo and Ile Ogundipe here in ward 3 to burst out to the main road, we have to walk round the entire ward 3 for long minutes, tired, to get outside. Now, it takes an easy an walk on this bridge constructed by Kola-Daisi immediately he heard about the stress we go through. He his God-sent. Allah will never let him know stress as he has removed our own stress”, a community leader echoed.
Speaking at one of the project’s commissioning, the Afobaje of Ekotedo, Kunle Ayorinde, praised Kola-Daisi for his commitment towards community impact projects and assured that the people of the local government will definitely trust him with their votes.
“Apart from the fact that Kolapo is a son of the soil and this local government, I am particularly proud of him for his commitment towards solving needs of communities across Ibadan NorthEast and all other local governments in Oyo South. It is something that makes me proud of him so much and I’m sure that the people will show their appreciation with their votes. That is very certain”, Afibaje Ayorinde submitted.
Kola-Daisi thanked the people of Ibadan NorthEast for their great support and in his usual way, promised to keep up with his performance-driven style of representation and politics.
