Politicians across political divides were ‘united’ today as family members organised 3-fidau prayers for deceased former lawmaker, Hon. Waliu Ganiyu.
Waliu, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, died Monday evening at the age of 45.
Apart from APC, members of Accord, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Labour Party, LP as well as community and religious leaders graced the event.
At his Oyagbe, Oke-Olola, Oyo residence, a former federal lawmaker, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi, Hon. Muideen Olagunju who represents Oyo East / Oyo West state constituency, ex-Oyo council chairmen- Mutahir Adegboye (Oyo East), Okeniyi Gbolagade (Atiba), Adesoji Ojoawo (Oyo West), council chairmen from neighbouring local government as well as representatives of Governor. Abiola Ajimobi were in attendance.
Sheikh Mojeed Alawye who delivered a thought-provoking lecture enjoined everybody to live as if death will come soon. He prayed for the repose of the late lawmaker.
