Oyo state government has recorded another two confirmed coronavirus cases in Ibadan, the state capital.
From the two new cases, one case is from iSON Xperiences and the other case is from Ido Local Govt Area.
Governor Seyi Makinde announced this in a Twitter post on Thursday, May 28.
“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for two suspected cases came back POSITIVE. One case is from iSON Xperiences and the other case is from Ido Local Govt Area.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 252,” Makinde said.
The governor advised resident to call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if there is any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache and shortness of breath.
Meanwhile, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Seyi Makinde, Taiwo Adisa, said the government is plan is part of the strategy to conduct fresh 10,000 COVID-19 tests on residents within the next two to three months.
He said the new 10,000 test target is aimed at reaching people in the nooks and crannies of the state.
