The Accord Party has dissolved the members of the executive of the party in Oyo state with immediate effect.
This is coming following the announcement of the party chairman in the state, Prince Kolade Ojo, that the party has adopted the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Seyi Makinde.
The party made this known in a letter addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and signed by the National Chairman, Hon Muhammed L. Nalado, on Wednesday.
The party said the dissolution was due to anti party activities and gross misconduct by the members of the executive in the state.
According to the letter, Alh. Isiaka Salami will serve as the Caretaker Chairman while Mr. Bashiru Ayobami will serve as the Secretary.
Other members are Hon. Fatai Salawu, Mrs. Bimpe Martins and Hon. Ayodele Oyajide.
