#FundLAUTECH, an initiative set up by alumni of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology got a boost as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi donated the sum of N500, 000 to support the cause.
This is coming few days after the launch of the initiative conceived to raise N1 billion in three months to rescue the 27-year-old institution.
It would be recalled that the institution has been enmeshed in crisis following the inability of the owner states of Osun and Oyo to pay salaries of workers as and when due.
Oba Ogunwusi, who spoke when members of the team visited his palace disclosed that he has made some silent moves, assuring that the crisis will be over soon.
To ensure sustainability of the initiative, the monarch accepted to be chairman of the initiative’s governing board.
