JCI Ibadan, the local chapter of Junior Chamber International, a global federation of young professionals, held the 3rd Edition of the Muyiwa Bamgbose Academy (MBA), between Monday 6th August till Friday 10th August 2018 under the leadership of its 2018 President, JCI Ambassador Kayode Adedayo.
MBA is a leadership academy where secondary school leaders are camped and trained on skills and topics such as excellence culture, personal development, commitment to charity, leadership by example amongst others.
Since the first edition in 2016, JCI Ibadan has trained over 500 prefects in Oyo State Government secondary schools for FREE.
The camp opened on Monday, 6th August 2018 and was concluded in a closing Ceremony held on Friday 10th August 2018 at Wesley College of Science Elekuro, Ibadan.
During his visit to the camp, the National President of JCI Nigeria, Adeniyi Balogun expressed delight at the turnout of scholars in the 2018 edition and their comportment while the camp lasted and commended the local organization, especially the organizing committee headed by JC Dasola Eyinade for delivering an impactful academy
Dignitaries at the the closing ceremony included the Oyo state Commissioner for education, Prof Adeniyi Olowofela; The honouree Pastor Muyiwa Bamgbose; Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu of National Orientation Agency and other directors from the Ministry of Education, teachers and parents of the scholars and other stakeholders.
The closing ceremony was a well attended event which commenced with a Welcome address delivered by the president of JCI Ibadan, JC Kayode Adedayo who appreciated the guests and admonished the scholars on how to uphold the virtues they have learned during the camp session.
Certificates and gifts were presented at the closing ceremony to the scholars.
