It was an atmosphere of honest conversation at the Olive Chamber of Hon. Barr. Adeniyi John Farinto when representatives of leaders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Iwajowa Local Government led Alhaji Hon. Abdullahi Bola Azeez to formalize his decision to join the party.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Kazeem Oladeinde Hammed, on Tuesday and made available to newsmen.
Alhaji Abdullahi Bola Azeez, who recently retired from the Local Government Service, is a former Caretaker Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government Area. His political background and antecedents, particularly his achievements during his 11-month tenure in 2002, make him a stalwart in the party.
According to Azeez, his decision to join the PDP was based on an objective analysis of the unprecedented developmental projects implemented by Governor Seyi Makinde and replicated at the local level by the administration of Hon. Muritala Abiodun Oyewumi in Iwajowa.
Azeez confirmed that the PDP’s performance in Iwajowa motivated him to join the party with full force, bringing everyone in his political network to assist in strengthening the party’s presence in Ward 08 and Iwajowa at large.
Hon. Barr. Adeniyi John Farinto applauded Azeez’s brave move to join the ruling party.
He emphasized that Governor Seyi Makinde is the leader of the PDP in Oyo State and the South West, and that all party activities must align with his plans and objectives.
Alhaji Kazeem Olatunji and Hon. Timothy Bolarinwa wholeheartedly welcomed Azeez to the party, sharing their positive experiences with him during his brief tenure as Caretaker Chairman in 2002.
