The Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government Area in Oyo State, Honorable Muritala Oyewunmi, has donated science laboratory equipment to eight selected secondary schools in the local government area.
The donation, made on July 11, 2025, is part of the local government’s efforts to improve the quality of education, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The event, held at the Local Government Secretariat in Iwere-Ile, was attended by student representatives, teachers, and parents.
According to Oyewunmi, the initiative aims to enhance the learning experience of students in the beneficiary schools.
“This initiative is part of Iwajowa Local Government’s efforts to improve the quality of education, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. I urge our students to utilize these kits responsibly and enthusiastically.” The chairman said.
The donation is a significant step towards promoting STEM education in the local government area, demonstrating the local government’s commitment to enhancing the learning experience of students.
The beneficiary schools include ADS, Iwere-Ile, Iwere-Ile Community Grammar School, Community Grammar School, Idiko-Ago, Community Grammar School, Iganna, Community High School, Elekokan, ST. Joseph Catholic College, Iwere-Ile, and Muslim Comprehensive High School, Iganna
