The Oyo-centric online newspaper, InsideOyo, has now been rated alongside bigwigs from different walks of lifefor creating indelible impacts in their respective fields within the Ibadan metropolitan city.
At the Plat’Num Lounge and Bar in Bodija area of Ibadan, the capital city of Ibadan on Sunday, January 27th, 2019, an overwhelming number of popular personalities were garnered to cheer the 60 most influential personalities. The event was hosted by Ibadan Media in partnership with Moreklue Blueprint Company Limited.
Ola, Olalekan Olanrewaju, speaking at the award night, stressed that the recognition was spurred as a result of the landmarks which have been set by the distinguished awardees in their fields.
He implored audience to erode any odd thought that the shortlisting may have been biased or unduly influenced.
‘This event tonight was conceived out of the phenomenal impacts these fellows have made to the developments of Ibadan city and Oyo state at large. They have in the past times proven to be the best in what they do’, the convener mentioned.
A notable personality, Rotimi Martins popularly known asAlariwo of Africa commended the award winning as ‘a well-researched award shortlisting torch-lighting on impacting personalities – who are outstanding in their fields – in the city and Oyo state in entirety’.
Engineer Goodness Morakinyo, the Director of Valencia Group of Schools; RaphaelNiyi Stephen, a popular Nollywood star, Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina were also among the awardees.
Other recipients were sourced from fields like fashion, entertainment and business startups.
