A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu has declared that despite the challenges facing the country presently, the future of Nigeria will be far more glorious and peaceful than her past, and the nation’s lights will shine brighter with opportunities, equity, justice, and righteousness on the part the government.
Abidikugu, a Nigerian UK based psychiatrist consultant, who was also an aspirant for Federal House of Representatives in Ibadan south east and north east federal constituency made the declaration via online statement on Sunday marking the 63rd Independence anniversary of Nigeria.
He maintained that it is no more a news that Nigerians are facing hardship in the areas of essential amenities such as high price in food stuffs, premium motor spirit popularly known as petrol and others but noted that with commitment, sincerity, justice, equity and fair play on the side of the government, this challenges will be things of the past.
According to him, “As we are celebrating 63rd independence anniversary of Nigeria, which is not a natural person, it is made up of people, of men, women and children who are Nigerians. So, when we say that celebrate the birthday of Nigeria, we are in fact celebrating the birthday of the Nigerian people wherever they may be in this great and vast nation and globally.
“The future of Nigeria will be far more glorious, more peaceful than her past, and so it shall be for every Nigerians, particularly Oyo state. Every year will be happier, more glorious, more prosperous and more peaceful by His grace.
“I will implore our governments at various level to fashion out strategies and policies that will cushion the effects of subsidy removal on the masses, Nigerians are facing numerous difficulties and we hope with sincerity, equity, justice, better days are ahead.
“Once again, happy independence anniversary to all Nigerians across the globe”.
