Nigerians have been advised to protect the integrity and unity of this Nation as Nigeria celebrates its 60th anniversary of independence.
This advice was given by the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of ATISBO Local Government, Hon Dr Raji Mudasiru Adepoju Akanji, in his office while addressing Journalists on the anniversary of Nigeria’so independence.
Raji appealed to all and sundry on the need to work for unity and security of the nation.
He said “it is high time Nigerians saw this nation as ours. W must rededicate our minds by promoting love and unity among ourselves.
“Nigeria at 60th, our democracy has triumph, and we should come together to defend it”
He seized the gathering to congratulate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde on the 60th independent anniversary. Hd praised the Governor for his uncommon type of Governance in Oyo State.
His words “Engr Makinde Governance is second to none in the history of Oyo State considering the laudable achievements he has recorded in the shortest period in the office.”
In another development, Nigerian Local Government Merit Award (LOGMA) has shortlisted Hon Dr Raji Mudasiru Adepoju for the esteemed award as one of the best Chairman in Nigeria.
Raji happened to be one of the eight Chairmen shortlisted for the award of the best Chairman in Oyo State.
Raji, a retired Director from Lagos State Ministry of Education said his pursuit for sustainable Governance at the Grassroot will not be stopped as a result of the award.
He said he will continue with other projects and services that will touch the lives of all and sundry.
He therefore, dedicated the award to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, Royal fathers, party leaders, community leaders and good people of ATISBO Local Government.
