Ahead of today’s Oyo central All Progressives Congress senatorial district primaries, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Bimbo Kolade, has dispelled the rumours making around that he has stepped down from the race.
The Fiditi-born graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife made this known on one of his social media accounts.
“Despite the postponement of the APC Oyo Central Senatorial primaries today, due to some logistics issues, and the false rumours spread around, that I pulled out of the race, to mislead our party delegates.
“The love, sacrifice and support shown to me by our party delegates inspite of it all, was so overwhelming.
“Thank you all for believing so much in me and clamouring for me to represent YOU all.
“I do not take your support and prayers for granted.
“BIMBO KOLADE IS STILL IN THE RACE.
Victory is ours! KOLADE DE! IRE DE!It reads”
Recall that insideyo.com had earlier reported that governor Abiola Ajimobi is planning to impose Senator Teslim Folarin as the party’s candidate.
Six aspirants are as to contest for the party’s ticket in Oyo central.
They are Senator Teslim Folarin; Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy affairs, Mr. Bimbo Kolade, Engr Faozey Oladotun, Mr Oyedemi Wakil Oyeleru and Hon. Oluokun George Akintola
