The governorship candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Oyo State, Mrs. Aduragbemi Animasawun Euba has congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde, on his re-election victory at the March 18, 2023 governorship election, pledged her support to work with his government for better women representation in the state.
She is the only female governorship candidate at the just concluded general election in Oyo State.
In a statement released on Monday, Aduragbemi said Oyo State people have spoken and the outcome of the poll is a result of the trust and excellent performance by the incumbent governor during the about to be concluded tenure.
Speaking further, she noted that she’s ready to work with Engr. Seyi Makinde for the sustainable accelerated for development to move the state forward and for better representation of women in his government.
“Another history has been made in Oyo state when it comes to women taking up the bravery step of getting involved in governance. In 2019 Bolanle Sarumi got 382 votes, at the just concluded 2023 governorship election, I, Aduragbemi Animasawun Euba as the only female guber candidate, got 493 votes across all the 33 local government of the state. With this, I’m sure that it will keep getting better”
“I want to use this medium to appreciate the good of the state who believe in my manifestos and capacity to serve as a woman and cast their vote for me.”
She further noted that, of course she has a structure and people following her across the 33 local government will want to see her remain in the politics of Oyo state because they believe in her capacity to render selfless and genuine service to the people of Oyo state.

Aduragbemi is a successful businesswoman, child right advocate, movie producer, and actress. She is the CEO of SignatureByAdura, a fashion label situated in Aleshinloye market in Ibadan. She also co-owns a foundation where she caters for the education of children in rural areas with a nursery, primary, and secondary school in Badeku Village

Adura is a daughter of popular juju musician Apola King, now known as Reverend ldowu Animasawun, and late Evangelist Deborah Animasawun.
