A governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka, has congratulated the national leadership of the party, the newly elected Oyo State executive committee, and members of the party across the country following the Supreme Court affirmation of the party’s leadership.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Ilaka praised the National Executive Committee of the ADC under the leadership of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola for what he described as a successful legal victory that reaffirmed the legitimacy of the party’s leadership structure.
He described the development as a triumph of justice, due process, and internal democracy within the party.
Ilaka also congratulated the newly elected Oyo State Executive Committee of the ADC led by Rt. Hon. Afees Jimoh, alongside party leaders, stakeholders, members, and aspirants across the state.
According to him, the outcome of the legal battle has further strengthened the credibility of the ADC as a viable opposition platform capable of providing purposeful leadership and renewed hope for Nigerians.
“This victory stands as a clear testament to the triumph of justice, due process, and internal democracy. It further reinforces the ADC’s position as a strong and credible opposition platform, poised to offer Nigerians hope, direction, and purposeful leadership,” he stated.
The former Chief Of Staff urged members of the party nationwide to remain united and committed to the growth of the ADC ahead of future political engagements.
He noted that the moment calls for renewed mobilisation and collective efforts toward building a stronger political platform for national development.
“I equally rejoice with all ADC members nationwide on this significant milestone. This is a moment for unity, renewed commitment, and intensified mobilisation as we continue to build a stronger party for a better Nigeria,” Ilaka added.
