The Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area in Oyo State, Honorable Lateef Akorede, has taken a significant step to enhance security in the region by chairing the monthly Peace and Security Stakeholders’ Meeting.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, security agencies, and community leaders, to discuss pressing security concerns and chart proactive resolutions.
In his address, Akorede emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining security.
“Security is a collective responsibility, and it remains a foundational pillar for sustainable development, peaceful coexistence, and communal prosperity,” he said.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and adhere to law and order, stating, “I call on all residents to remain vigilant, reject all forms of criminality, and adhere strictly to law and order.”
