The chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, Hon Lateef Akorede has thanked Governor Seyi Makinde over the approval of the presentation of staff of office and beaded crown to the Elempe of Tapa, Oba Titilola Oyekanmi Sunday.
Akorede also thanked the Governor over the presentation of staff and instruments of office to the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Adeniyi, Ariwoola Aako II.
He made this known in a statement made available to newsmen, on Tuesday.
Akorede said the people of Tapa, Igangan and Ibarapa North Local Government Area are grateful to the governor.
He said the Governor has been magnanimous enough for giving two traditional rulers crowns under his administration.
He added that this achievement is part of his plans for the development of towns in Ibarapa North Local Government Area.
He also commended the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Segun Olayiwola for a yeoman’s job in the ministry.
The statement read in part: “On behalf of the good people of Tapa, Igangan and Ibarapa North Local Government Area in general, I want to thank our governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde over the approval of beaded crown for our royal father Elempe of Tapa, Oba Titilola Oyekanmi Sunday.
“Earlier also, our father, the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Adeniyi, Ariwoola Aako II got instruments of office.
“The people of Tapa, Igangan and Ibarapa North Local Government Area are thankful and grateful to our governor.
“I also want to commend the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Segun Olayiwola for a yeoman’s job he’s doing at the Minsitry in the state.”
