The Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Honourable Lateef Akorede, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to massive infrastructure renewal and upgrading.
In a statement on Saturday, Akorede assured the public that his government remains dedicated to easing the burden on road users by establishing a sustainable framework for road infrastructure delivery.
“I reaffirm my administration’s commitment to massive infrastructure renewal, improved quality of life for residents, and the promotion of socio-economic growth through continuous infrastructure upgrades,” Akorede said.
Akorede highlighted that his administration has embarked on several projects aimed at improving the lives of residents in the local government area. One of such projects is the construction of a two-box culvert along the Ayete Grammar School access road, which is nearing completion.

The chairman also noted that his administration has commenced the dredging of water bodies to enhance water flow and prevent erosion.
“Dredging of water bodies has commenced to enhance water flow and prevent erosion, and the ongoing construction of culverts across Ibarapa North is strategically designed to tackle flooding challenges and significantly enhance the living conditions of our people,” Akorede explained.
