The Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Honorable Lateef Akorede, has commended the troops stationed at the Forward Operations Base (FOB) in Orita Konko for their commendable work in improving security in the area.
During a visit to the FOB on Tuesday, Akorede expressed gratitude to the troops for their efforts, noting that security in the area had improved significantly since the establishment of the FOB.
“I am here to appreciate you for the good work you are doing. These gallant troops are the reason why the people of Ibarapa North are sleeping peacefully,” he said.
Akorede attributed the improved security to his administration’s commitment to a peaceful and progressive Oyo State. He thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his support in establishing the FOB, which has enabled the troops to succeed in their assignment.
The chairman promised to provide all the requests made by the Commander in Charge, Captain Omoseebi, to enable the troops to continue their good work.
The chairman’s visit is a testament to the administration’s commitment to serving the people and securing lives and properties in Ibarapa North. The troops’ efforts have enabled the people of Ibarapa North to enjoy improved security, and Akorede’s administration is determined to continue supporting them in their assignment.
