A group, Ibadan Wives And Mum (IBWNM), on Saturday, fed no fewer than 300 Muslim faithfuls at Ajimobi Park, New Garage for Iftar.
The feeding exercise was for men, women and children.
While speaking, Mrs Opeoluwa Ike, the President Ibadan Wives And Mum said that the feeding was done to relieve people of the burden of hardship in the country.
Ike said that the gesture was part of IBWNM’s ways of giving back to the society and humanity.
Her words: “Nigeria is already tough for a lot of people. This is us trying in our own way to ease people of little stress. Our plan is to feed them every Saturday during this fasting period.”
In a related development, IBWNM earlier in the week visited Oni and Sons Children Hospital and donated some items and cash to some mothers whose children were in the hospital.
Some of the items donated included toilet rolls, diapers, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, drinks, and detergents.
