Honourable Segun Olaleye also known as Radical Brother, an aspirant for the Ibadan North bye-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has distanced himself from a recent publication circulating online claiming he had declared himself the winner of the party’s primaries.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, Olaleye described the publication as “purely the work of mischief makers” aimed at creating tension between him and the party.
He emphasized that no official announcement has been made regarding the bye-elections due to controversies surrounding the primaries, which were scheduled but did not hold.
The APC aspirant assured that he stands with the party and would await further directives from the national leadership, which is currently engaging stakeholders to resolve the impasse.
Olaleye urged his followers and the general public to disregard the false publication.
“I stand with the party… I’ll patiently wait for new directives from the party rather than take any self-decision,” Olaleye stated.
