The eleven local government chairmen in Ibadanland have extended their warm congratulations to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his installation and coronation as Oba of Oju Opo.
Oba Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan who is also a former governor in Oyo State was elevated to the position of an Oba by the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Owolabi Ige Olakulehin 1.
The coronation ceremony held at the new Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, was attended by the acting Governor of the State, Barrister Bayo Lawal.
The council chairmen join the family of the new Oba, the CCII, Ibadan citizens, the Oyo State Council of Obas, and the Oyo State Government to celebrate Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
Oba Ladoja brings to the throne immense wisdom, experience, character, and strength.
They also congratulate Ibadan indigenes on the peaceful process of installing new Oba and pray that the peace, beauty, and renown of Ibadan will abide always.
The Governor has successfully effected a positive improvement in the Ibadan monarchy. Proud sons and daughters of Ibadan are elated by the unity and peace in the olubadan in council
The council chairmen thereafter thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the honor bestowed on the former governor.
