The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mr. Kayode Alabi, has described a member of the House of Representatives from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Shina Peller and his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Ayobola Peller as patriotic Nigerians worth emulating.
The deputy governor disclosed this on Thursday whilst giving his remarks at Kwara State edition of Get Involved Leadership Training (GILT) of Lead Generation Initiative (LGI) held at Peace Hall, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Similarly, the deputy governor, on behalf of the state government, appreciated Hon. Peller, his wife and the entire management team of the LGI for bringing GILT to Kwara State, adding that the training will go a long way in opening the inner eyes of the participants who have been drawn from each of the sixteen local government areas of the state.
Furthermore, Mr. Alabi publicly stated at the event that he envies Hon. Peller and his wife for the great things they are doing through LGI, and added that they will forever be his friends for touching lives of many positively.
He said, “I envy Hon. Peller and his wife; I envy them positively, not negatively. They are touching lives positively through LGI, they are trying to make young ones see through their inner eyes and to make them generational leaders that the country and the world will soon reckon with. They are trying to make you the best, and this is what they will be remembered for, not material things they possess.” He therefore charged others and participants to emulate them.
Speaking to the participants, the deputy governor reminded them that their ability to solve problems is what matters most, and not necessarily certificates they possess. He went further to charge them develop acceptable brands for themselves and get actively involved politics right from their immediate communities.
It would be recalled that LGI had held five editions of GILT in five different states namely Oyo, Osun, Bauchi, Gombe and Niger respectively.
Hon. Peller is the founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the LGI.
