Hope Never Dies (HND), a non governmental organization marked its 2 years anniversary on Saturday, in Saki, in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo state.
The event had in attendance the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as guest speaker.
It also had award giving ceremony to sons and daughters of Saki Land and gifts to schools that emerged first, second and third positions in the quiz competition.
While speaking, the convener, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo said the event was organized to encourage education in the society either formal or informal.
Salaudeen, who is also the councilor representing Ward 4 at Saki West Local Government legislative arm added that the society is facing negativity which is discouraging strong effort in learning.
He said one of the ways to revive the trust in education is to come up with rewarding competition that will stimulate the love for the exercise in the mind of teeming population.
His words: “Hope Never Dies is one of the fastest growing foundations nationwide, indeed, it is a blessing and bounty of God, it is as well a blessing of God that it fell on me as accident of history to be the convener and pioneer president of this astounding forum. We dreamed it, we conceived it and now, we are implementing it.
“This year’s theme “Formal and Informal Education are determinants of Functional and Rewarding Educational System in a Developing Nation was chosen to revitalise refurbish the orientation of our youth regarding formal and informal education.
“Education whether formal or informal is an indispensable tool that can trigger meaningful development, this notion is therefore what our youth should imbibe and not venturing in an adventure that can destroy their future and making our society a mess.
“After Our program last Year,Some of Our members have proved not to lose their Hope in some Skills and Entrepreneurship. We have TEE-SOLAR POWER, UNBIASED INTERLOCK DESIGN,TAIWO POULTRY KEEPER And host of others.
“Our 2022 projects will centre on any of the following: Child Development, Child Molestation and Domestic Violence, Why I must obtain Permanent Voters’ Card?

In recognition of their contributions to Saki, Oke Ogun and Oyo state in general, awards were given to Hon. Femi Julius, lawmaker representing Saki West State Constituency, Dr. Musah Abdulwasi, chairman, Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission, Engr. Najimudeen Omirinde, chairman, Oyo State Rural Water Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Dr Lukman Adisa Adamawa, SA to Governor on Ifedapo Federal constituency, Dr. Y. Y. Muslim, Alh.Taofeek Olubori, an aspirant for Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo federal constituency seat, Mr Malik Aderogba, an aspirant for Saki West State Constituency seat and others.
Similarly, gifts were given to Sharon Rose School And College, the overall winner, Ansarudeen Comprehensive School 2nd position and Choice School And college 3rd position in the secondary school category.
While Faith School And College emerged overall Winner, Distinct Nursery and Primary School came 2nd and Community Primary School Ajegunle came 3rd in the primary school category.
