The Chariman of the Oyo state Rural Water and Sanitation Agency, OYRUWASSA, Engineer Najeem Omirinde has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde for transmitting power to his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal while going on vacation
Omirinde in a statement, on Friday, said history will never forget Governor Seyi Makinde for what he has done.
Recall that the House of Assembly read the Governor’s letter during its plenary on Thursday that he was going on vacation from Thursday 11th of August till Friday 2nd of September, 2022.
Omirinde added that Makinde is the first Governor in the history of Oyo state to transmit power to his Deputy while going on vacation.
He assured the Governor that the people of Oke Ogun and Oyo state in general will not take the trust and opportunity for granted adding that the Deputy Governor will not also misuse the trust entrusted in him.
He said: “In the history of our state, Governor Seyi Makinde has done what no governor has done before. He transmitted power to his Deputy while going on vacation. His excellency deserves commendations for this.
“His excellency has wirtten his name in the book of history and history will never forget him. He has restored the people of Oke Ogun’s confidence in his administration. I’m sure people of Oke Ogun and Oyo state in general will pay him back in 2023.”
