All major political parties contesting in the gubernatorial election this Saturday are courting Engr. Dotun Sanusi, owner of the flourishing Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts.
Even before the presidential election was concluded, candidates as well as influential persons working to get his support for their preferred guber hopefuls have been thronging his Akanran office as well as his Bodija home.
It would be recalled that Sanusi, who is an Ibadan Mogaji and Otun Apesinola of Ibadan, had mobilized support for Bola Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and president-elect.
Inside source told this newspaper that all the major parties— APC, Accord and Peoples Democratic Party, have all sent emissaries to the University of Ibadan graduate.
Though not a politician, it was learnt that Sanusi is friend to all major actors in the state. While he and Makinde married from the Rivers State and have been friends for long, he and Teslim Folarin of the APC have cordial relationship as they are from the same Ona-Ara. He is also close with Adébáyọ̀ Adelabu.
Last Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his Ilaji Mini Stadium, Sanusi hosted thousands of people to a celebration party.
At the event which had all top politicians from different parties, business stakeholders, market women and others lauded Sanusi, for standing by the party to achieve the success recorded at just concluded 2023 general elections.
Sanusi, in his remarks, thanked the team, “Ilaji 4 Shettima”, Mogajis, political stakeholders, market women and others for the support during and after the election.
On why he supported the former governor of Lagos State to be elected as the President, Sanusi said, ” Tinubu is the man of the people, he has served humanity and build a lot of people in the political circle and stakeholders in various areas. I can only prayed to God to give him long life to continue to serve humanity.”
He similarly lauded the management of Ripples Catering and Events Company, headed by Eunice Olaseeke Adeoye, for also contributing to the development of humanity through her business.
Dignitaries present at the occasion include royal fathers, Mogajis, APC supporters, market women, other political leaders and host of others.
