A former federal legislator, Honourable Shina Peller, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on his recognition as the Governor of the Year by the management of the Leadership Newspaper.
Honourable Shina Peller’s congratulatory message was contained in a personal statement shared on his social media platforms and with journalists on Wednesday, where he described the award as a well-deserved one.
The former lawmaker, who is the Ayedero of Yorubaland, expressed his delight in having Governor Makinde as a leader, adding that the Governor of the Year award conferred on him is a testament to his impressive leadership attributes and firm commitment to delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.
Also, the Oke Ogun-born businessman cum politician, who recently defected from Accord party to the People’s Democratic Party, reaffirmed his membership of the PDP, and expressed happiness that Oyo PDP is being led by an “exceptional leader” like Governor Makinde.

“This well-deserved “Governor of the Year” award is a testament to Governor Makinde’s unique leadership attributes, dedication and commitment to delivering good governance to the people. His achievements so far as the governor remain noteworthy.
