Oyo-born researcher Ikeoluwapo B. Baruwa and alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan (UI), has been enlisted among various international scholars in an edited book with Harvard Education Press, USA.
The working title for the book is Civic Education Across Ever-Changing Societies: Transforming lives, cultures, and nation-states.
The edited book has invited scholars from different countries to reflect on civic education: on the classical, old and new concepts, theories, approaches, tools and critically re-evaluate their appropriateness, relevance, deficiencies vis-à-vis challenges of societies of today.
Different chapters of the book accommodate insights into practical issues of civic education in different institutional settings across different countries; encourages what is learnable while pursuing the aim of building and fostering democratic pluralistic societies.

Baruwa, who is a Research Fellow, The French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA), told InsideOyo.com over the weekend that he was elated to have been selected among professors and academia around the world.
Brief Profile of Baruwa:
A Research Fellow of The French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA) and a Reviewer for an International Journal of Learning, Teaching and Educational Research (IJLTER) based in Port Louis, Mauritius.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education and Political Science, and Master’s Degree in Philosophy of Education from the University of Ibadan.
He is an eminent young researcher, administrator and educator, and an aspiring PhD candidate with interest in Ethics, Language, Diversity, Literacy, Lifelong Learning, Education and Epistemology.
With a number of reputable international certificates from University of Leeds, Deakin University, Griffith University, Coventry University, University of Reading, UNICEF, WHO, Google, United States’ Institute of Peace, West Midlands, Mohammed Bin Rashid University (amongst others) to his name, he has actively authored and coauthored cutting-edge papers with senior colleagues in his field and beyond same.
He has equally once served as a scientific member for the Alexander Von Humboldt Conference, recently held at the University of Ibadan, dated February, 2020.
