The Forum of Local Government Vice Chairmen in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State has extended their heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde over the passing of his brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
In a statement on Friday, the Forum described Engineer Makinde’s demise as a great loss, not only to the Makinde family but also to the people of Oyo State.
The Forum prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to grant Governor Makinde and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Forum also acknowledged Governor Makinde’s dedication to the state despite his personal loss, praising his commitment to serving the people of Oyo State.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of Engineer Sunday Makinde’s demise,” the Forum said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family during this difficult time.”
The Forum’s condolence message is one of many that have poured in from various individuals and groups, including the Nigerian Governor’s Forum, which has also commiserated with Governor Makinde over his brother’s passing.
