The immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (OYORUWASSA), Engr. Najeem Omirinde, has congratulated former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Moses Alake Adeyemo, on his emergence as the new Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State.
Adeyemo emerged as the state chairman of the party following the APC congress held in Ibadan, a development that has continued to generate reactions from party stakeholders across the state.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists in Ibadan on Tuesday, Omirinde described Adeyemo’s emergence as “well-deserved and timely,” noting that his wealth of experience in governance and party administration would strengthen the APC’s structure in Oyo State.
According to him, Adeyemo’s track record as Deputy Governor under the late former Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as well as his long-standing commitment to the progressive ideology, positions him to reposition the party for unity and electoral success.
Omirinde stated, “Your emergence as the Chairman of our great party in Oyo State is a testament to your dedication, loyalty, and years of selfless service to the progressive family. I have no doubt that under your leadership, the APC in Oyo will witness renewed cohesion, strategic direction, and strengthened grassroots mobilization.”
The former OYORUWASSA chairman further urged party members to rally behind the new leadership to ensure internal stability and collective progress, especially as political realignments and preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He expressed confidence that Adeyemo’s leadership would foster inclusiveness and reconciliation within the party, stressing that unity remains the most critical ingredient for the APC to reclaim power in the state.
Omirinde prayed for wisdom, strength, and good health for the new chairman as he assumes the responsibility of steering the affairs of the party at a crucial period in Oyo State’s political landscape.
