The University College Hospital on Thursday received three mobile ventilators from the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The ventilators were given to support the Hospital’s efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic
The brand-new, leading-edge ventilators which were initially donated to the country by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were presented to the Chief Medical Director Prof. Jesse Otegbayo
“These ventilators will certainly be of great benefit to our esteemed patients,” Otegbayo remarked.
“We appreciate USAID and the federal government through the Ministry of Health as well as the resource persons who were involved in this, the ventilators are deployable and will provide great flexibility in treating COVID-19 patients.”
The UCH boss affirmed that the ventilators would be deployed for the benefit of patients who require them.
