For the second time in one year, gospel Juju singer, Femi Solar his retained his number one spot as the best Juju singer in the country.
Months back, at the Oduduwa Music and Movie Awards (OMAMA), held in Ibadan, the soft-spoken singer was crowned the Best Juju singer in a category that had popular Juju music heavy weights.
In what many people described as another surprising feat, Solar, emerged at the event at the Premier’s Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards (PERA), held last Sunday at the Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
In a category that had the likes of Dele Bravo, Yinka Adonai, Femo Lancaster and Tayo King, Solar’s win illustrated the essential difference between him and his colleagues.
Speaking shortly after receiving his award, Solar, who said he has set his heart on the bigger picture in the New Year, appreciated his fan for their continued support.
The award, in its maiden edition, was established to acknowledge, encourage and celebrate excellence among indegenes and residents of Oyo State by celebrating and giving them the opportunity to gain well-deserved recognition for their national and global expansion ambitions.
The event was compered by Bimbo Akintola and LafUP, the former an actress and the latter a comedian. They added the needed spice to the event that attracted people from all walks of life.
Supported by the Oyo State government, the event lived up to its expectations as the hall was filled to the brim while the audience danced to the melodious tune of Akin Shuga band.
