Late Director-General of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, DAWN, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa, will be buried on Friday, 5th May, 2016, at the Ikoyi Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
DF, as the late policy strategist was fondly called, died on Friday, 21st April, in Lagos after a brief illness.
Survived by his loving wife and children; father and siblings, the following programmes would be organised before his remains will be interred.

According to a statement by DAWN, Famakinwa, a certified quality auditor, was an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, the Lagos Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government. “He had more than twenty-four (24) years of extensive and high-profile professional experience serving various sectors within the Nigerian and multinational markets. He had led successful missions in the provision of management services to clients in financial services, aviation, retail, oil & gas, among others, and had also managed diverse talents and teams across functional areas.
“Mr. Dipo Famakinwa directed the activities of the technical work group that put together the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Strategy Document, and on the back of that, led and coordinated the processes that culminated in the setting up of DAWN Commission.
“Famakinwa provided strategic insight and leadership towards delivering on the vision and mission of the Southwest development agenda.”
