The Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Musa AbdWasi has reacted to his expulsion which was contained in a release by the Saki West chapter of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo state.
The Saki-born lawmaker told insideOYO.com that he is not aware of any expulsion. And that he has not been given any letter to that effect.
“I’m not aware of any expulsion. I have not received any letter or release to that effect.
“As far as the House of Assembly is concerned, I remain a member of the APC, that can be seen from the vote and proceedings of the house.” he said.
A look at the Vote and Proceedings of the house by inisdeOYO.com showed that the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Musa AbdWasi remains in the APC along side the majority leader, Hon Kehinde Subair while the speaker, Hon Olagunju Joshua Ojo remains in the Labour party the platform they were all elected .
Recall that Hon. Olagunju Ojo emerged unopposed as the speaker of the house after the demise of the former speaker, Rt Hon Micheal Adeyemo.
His emergence took people to surprise after people expected the Deputy Speaker to take the position of his late boss.
The Saki West chapter of the party in a release which was signed by the Chairman and Secretary had earlier announced the expulsion of the Deputy Speaker over alleged anti party activities.
